Drew Barrymore's sister, Jessica Barrymore, 47 years old, did not commit suicide, as stated by brother John Barrymore. Drew Barrymore's sister was found dead inside a car, and she was surrounded by pills and bottles of alcoholic drinks, last Wednesday.

John shared a father with both Jessica and Drew Barrymore, and he was the one who told Daily news that his late sister had meth inside the car where her body was found. The 60-year-old John said, "It looks like it was a drug misadventure. Mixing alcohol and pills. I seriously doubt she took her own life."

Drew Barrymore's brother was not shy in describing, in specific detail, the substances that his recently deceased sister might have been abusing when she died. He shared, "There were some empty vodka bottles, a couple bags meth and a variety of pills in the car. My guess is that it was the booze and pills, like with Heath Ledger."

These reports from Drew Barrymore's brother has put Jessica's death into a much sharper focus, while contrasting with earlier reports that the late Barrymore sister killed herself only days before her 48th birthday.

Drew Barrymore reached out to her extended family after Jessica was found dead, stating that she was "incredibly sorry for their loss." Jessica was actually "found dead" the night before her birthday, inside her car, in National City, which is just north of San Diego. Her body was found at 6 a.m. on a Tuesday. As reported, Jessica apparently visited her mother earlier that day.

The 39-year-old Drew Barrymore released a statement that said, "Although I only met her briefly, I wish her and her loved ones as much peace as possible and I'm so incredibly sorry for their loss."

10News reported that a woman named Marta Lopez was the one who discovered her body when she was leaving for work. The car of Drew Barrymore's sister was reportedly blocking her drive way, which was how she found the body, with, reportedly, quite a number of white pills scattered all over her passenger seat.
