Karachi Airport attacked was reported by officials in Pakistan on Monday as 10 gunmen went into the airport's terminal and killed a total of 13 people. According to The Associated Press, the Karachi airport attacked happened as the gunmen, disguised as police guards, attacked a terminal at the airport.

Dr. Seemi Jamali of Jinnah Hospital in Karachi identified the 13 bodies brought to the hospital. She told reporters that nine of Airport Security Force personnel, one a member of the paramilitary Rangers, one from the police, one an employee of the Civil Aviation Authority while another was from the Pakistan International Airlines.

According to Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah of Sindh province, the incident of the Karachi Airport attacked involved 10 militants. He told reporters, "They were well trained. Their plan was very well thought out." He said that the militants planned to wipe out some of the aircraft and buildings. Fortunately, they were not able to do so.
