'Black Mirror' Season 4 News, Update: 'Kong: Skull Island' Director Wants To Direct Episode On Upcoming Season

The director of the movie "Kong: Skull Island" is just one of the many fans of the series "Black Mirror." Jordan Vogt-Roberts has expressed that if he were to direct something TV, it would be for a series such as an anthology series.

Econo Times reports that the director claimed in an interview that he does not want to just direct anything for the purpose of just getting a salary. He does love what has been happening on TV shows lately, with the audience being introduced to different worlds.

Den of Geek reports that this may actually happen given that series creator Charlie Brooker actually said some episodes do not have a director yet. The next season of "Black Mirror" is currently still shooting, and if last year's schedule will be followed, season 4 may be released at around October this year.

Should Vogt-Roberts be asked to direct, he will be joining a list of other well-known directors who are set to direct season 4. Some of them are actress Jodie Foster, Joe Wright who directed "Atonement," and James Watkins who directed "The Woman in Black."

While Brooker has not specified much about what will happen in the next season of the series but he has given some hints about the next season. He has previously revealed that an episode was being shot in Iceland, and one episode will be more overtly comic than anything they have ever done before.

The series is well-known for tackling social issues in a different and creative way. One particular episode, with the title "Nosedive," dealt a satirical view on the subject of social media while the episode "San Junipero," which quickly became the most popular episode of season 3, focused on the love story between two women set in a virtual reality world.
