Most of the cast of the "Love Actually" sequel are reuniting soon as part of the comedy fund raiser Red Nose Day. However, one of the actors, Emma Thompson already confirmed that she is no longer returning to the above-mentioned sequel. Recently, she said that it is too sad to be not returning since the director himself, Richard Curtis would find it hard to write for her without involving the late Alan Rickman.

The actress also revealed that Richard Curtis had written him a letter and expressed that it would be hard for him to write anything because of Allan. However, Thompson told the director that he will be able to make it despite her absence. She told some reporters during the UK premiere of Disney's live-action "Beauty and the Beast", Entertainment Weekly reported.

Further, it can also be recalled that Alan Rickman was her on-screen husband in "Love Actually" sequel. However, he died at the age of 69 in January last year after battling from cancer. This also became one of the most depressing storyline that ever happened on the film.

Despite Thompson's leaving the film, some other casts will reunite for the film that is set to feature a form of short film that has been set for 14 years later.

On the other hand, Thompson also had talked with some writers and they had made plans about making a 10-minute reunion film which will soon be broadcast in UK on March 24 for the Red Nose Day, The Guardian reported.

According to Thompson, they have thought about it many times however, it just seemed wrong to lose Rickman in the story. Further, she also added that what the director has to write will be for a comic relief however, there would not much comic relief due to the loss of the dear friend and co-actor Rickman.
