This panda is having way too much fun in the recently ended US Blizzard. Zookeepers at the National Zoo in Washington D.C. captured the super-cute moment Tian Tian the panda was allowed out to play in the snow.

'Tian Tian woke up this morning to a lot of snow, and he was pretty excited about it,' the zoo wrote on Twitter, complete with a panda emoji and a snow emoji, which sums it up pretty neatly.

The 20-second clip has become a viral hit with more than 90,000 likes and retweets since it was posted by @NationalZoo.

Tian Tian, whose name means 'more and more,' was born in 1997. He weighs about 264 pounds, according to the zoo.

New York just experienced its second-highest snowfall since records began in 1869. The storm, dubbed "Snowmageddon" and "Snowzilla", is weakening and heading for the Atlantic Ocean. There were reports that last weekend's snow has affected some 85 million people, cutting power at one point to 300,000 people. The heaviest fall was recorded in Glengary, West Virginia, which had 42in.

Some 7,000 flights were cancelled across the eastern US this weekend and disruption is to continue into the working week, with at least 615 cancelled in the coming days.

Giant snowball fights broke out on Times Square, New York, overnight and in Dupont Circle, Washington DC, on Sunday morning.
