Britain's Got Talent New Favourite Calum Scott Gets Golden Buzzer
Calum Scott, a contestant from Britain's Got talent, becomes crowd favourite after singing an emotional ballad version of Robyn's 'Dancing On My Own.'
The crowd were so astonished by the sentimental performance that they all agreed a standing ovation was in order. The tear-jerking take was even more respected when the judges joined the crowd and started to stand up as well. Even Simon Cowell, the show's main judge and quite a prominent one at that, used the Golden Buzzer on the talented singer. This signals that lucky Scott will be heading directly to the live shows.
This winning moment happened no sooner after Jade, Scott's sister was rejected by Cowell. The main judge believes that she was out of tune. Cowell stopped her from continuing her first song because he noticed she was a bit off. Finally, Cowell rejected Jade after performing small parts of 'With or Without You' from U2 even though the crowd were cheering to motivate her. She was later seen moved by her brother's audition at the side of the stage.
Dave Norman, Calum's friend and is responsible for running Star Search in his town shared: 'He still hasn't quit his job, his employers support him 100 per cent and have left his job open for him at the moment. His passion is music so it is hoped he can make a living out of it after his success on BGT. Everyone is so proud of him and we are confident he has a long and successful future in the industry.'
