Liverpool Rumors: Mario Balotelli Will Be The Next Luis Suarez For Reds

The move of Liverpool management to bring over AC Milan's Mario Balotelli could be a huge gamble on their part. However, despite the Italian's crazy antics, there's also the possibility he could turn into another potent goal-scoring machine, similar to Luiz Suarez's feat last season.

In the latest article of Mark Apostolou on Caught Offside, he claimed that Balotelli could be the next Suarez, because of his incredible potential as a striker. The 24-year old Italian might have been a pain in the neck for every team he played for (AC Milan, Manchester City, and Inter-Milan), but there's no doubt he's one of the most talented youngsters out there.

"Whilst it's true that the 24 year old Italian has had his fair share of interesting antics, whether it's finding himself accidentally in a woman's prison or setting off fireworks in his bathroom, it's equally true that the AC Milan is a hugely talented footballer who knows where the back of the net is," Caught Offside reported.

Apostolou stressed that Balotelli, notwithstanding his misdemeanor on and off the pitch, has the potential to be a really special player for Liverpool. The football star's agent already acknowledged that Balotelli's stay at Anfield could be his last chance to reach his full potential.

"Mario Balotelli has already achieved a great deal in the game but will arrive at Liverpool at something of a crossroads, his own agent has stated that the move is his client's 'last chance' to fully deliver on his very obvious potential," the Caught Offside writer claimed.

According to Apostolou, Rodgers could be an ideal type of manager who could help Balotelli in his maturity as a football player. The Northern Irishman showed his patience and dedication in dealing with a mercurial Suarez during the Uruguayan's three-year tenure, and there's no doubt he's going to place the same kind of commitment to another volatile talent like Balotelli.

Balotelli, who formally signed with Liverpool last August 21, already recorded 88 goals in his professional football career, not including his scores as a member of the Italian national football team.
