A drunk passenger on a Turkish Airlines was arrested after spitting on passengers and assaulting three flight attendants because he thought someone had stolen his laptop.

Shahbaz Khan reportedly went crazy halfway through the flight to New York's JFK airport.  The 30-year-old man was set off when he thought a passenger stole his laptop, a complaint in Brooklyn Federal Court says according to the Daily News.

As a result, Khan began to spit at the passengers and the person in the adjacent seat.

When the crew tried to get involved, things escalated and took a turn for the worst.

"The defendant ran down the aisle of the plane and across the center row of seats, climbing over the passengers seated there, and then ran down the opposite aisle of the plane where he attempted to lunge at a passenger," FBI special agent Aaron Carp said according to the Daily News.

He hit a flight attendant in the face, giving them a bloody nose. He kicked another flight attendant in the groin and a third in the stomach.
With the help of passengers and crew, Khan was eventually restrained and tied to his seat.

Authorities were waiting for Khan when the plane landed in New York so he could be arrested on Sunday night.

Khan was found to be a Pakistani national who also has U.S. citizenship. He has been charged with assault and intimidating flight attendants. Khan was released after his mother signed a $25,000 bail. Along with the bail, Khan must agree to not drink alcohol.
