A bald man was able to get through airport security by using his blonde girlfriend's passport. The security blunder occurred at an airport in Britain.

Neil Clulow, a 50-year-old barber, didn't realize that he had his girlfriend Karen Clift's document on him when he boarded the 7:30 a.m. flight as he got threw security with no problem. He was flying from Birmingham to Alicante airport for a three-night trip to Benidorm with his male friends of a 50th birthday party last month, the Mirror reports.

In addition to his bald head, Clulow has a goatee beard, but when he showed his passport to the Monarch Airlines' staff and passport control at Alicante, he got through with no problem. He didn't realize the mistake until he was comparing passport pictures with his friends. Clulow was shocked by the security blunder due to the recent events involving the missing Malaysia Airlines jet.  "I can't believe it, especially after the trouble with that missing jet," Clulow said according to the Mirror.

Once he realized his mistake, he spent £70 for UPS to mail his real passport to Spain. However, the company accidentally mailed it to Berlin. Due to the mishap, he missed his March 19 flight home, but Monarch Airlines agreed to let him fly home for free the following day.

When he finally arrived back in the US, Clulow was questioned by two senior airline officials over the security breach. "They wanted to know what happened," he said. "They asked if I would be willing to point out the woman who let me through because it was a serious breach of security. But I didn't want to do that to her so I refused. I've heard nothing from them since."

Monarch Airlines is investigating the incident.
