A Chicago-Portland flight ended with a man being arrested. The disruptive passenger demanded more alcohol and may have even smoked in the bathroom.

Jared McKay, 29 was on United Airlines flight 1108 when he asked for four drinks just after the plane took off on Monday. He has been on a flight that originated in Pittsburgh beforehand. He was only allowed to be served two drinks at a time. He became increasingly aggressive as the flight went on and at one point he grabbed a flight attendant, told her he loved her and said he would show her if she sat next to him, Oregon Live reports.

When the flight was over Colorado, McKay's behavior worsened and the crew decided to cut him off from alcohol. They gave him water instead and he managed to spill it on his seat. He then refused to sit down but continued to demand more alcohol. Then at one point he went to the lavatory and the flight crew could smell cigarette smoke when he exited.

The captain wanted to divert the flight to Denver but he decided he would land in Salt Lake City if necessary. It wasn't as the passenger wound up falling asleep or passing out and the flight continued to Portland.

McKay appeared in U.S. District Court on Tuesday on a single count of interference with a flight crew. He was released with conditions and will be  arraigned on March 27.

This was the second incident in a week in which a flight with a disruptive passenger landed in Portland. However in the March 4 incident involving a Southwest Airlines flight, the Seattle-to-Sacramento flight actually did make an emergency landing.  The passenger on that flight demanded several glasses of wine and was screaming, cursing and throwing up gang signs.
