The creator of Flappy Bird, Dong Nguyen, has committed suicide. At least that's what one report is saying. However Nguyen didn't kill himself and neither did seven other people in the U.S. Nguyen seems to be the victim of a cruel Internet death hoax.

Nguyen has killed the popular app Flappy Bird, but he hasn't killed himself. On Saturday, Nguyen announced that he would be taking the app down from the iTunes store as he couldn't handle how big the game became. "I am sorry 'Flappy Bird' users, 22 hours from now, I will take 'Flappy Bird' down. I cannot take this anymore," he tweeted. However he said he will continue to make games.

A report surfaced on Huzlers which said Dong Nguyen was under so much pressure that he killed himself. The report reads, "Flappy Bird developer Dong Nguyen has just been found dead in his home with a gunshot wound in his head. Authorities are confirming that Nguyen committed suicide by shooting himself in the head with a pistol. Authorities are saying that the sensational game Flappy Bird had something to do with the suicide.

There has also been 7 reports of other suicides around the U.S. today alone. Flappy Bird developer Dong Nguyen has just taken Flappy Bird off app stores this morning and is believed to be the cause of the suicides.

Flappy Bird was generating an estimated $50,000 daily just off in game advertisements. Dong Nguyen apparently could not handle the publicity as he said "It is not anything related to legal issues, I just cannot keep it anymore." Nguyen was also posting similar tweets on his Twitter account. Authorities are still investigating the suicides as well as trying to find out Nguyen's motives for taking down the famous game, Authorities believe it could have been death threats."

The site also posted supposed tweets by Nguyen which read, "I can call 'Flappy Bird' is a success of mine. But it also ruins my simple life. So now I hate it" and "Press people are overrating the success of my games. It is something I never want. Please give me peace."

Nguyen never wrote those tweets and he didn't kill himself. Huzlers is a satire site. A note at the bottom of the site reads, "Huzlers.com is a combination of real shocking news and satire news to keep its visitors in a state of disbelief." The report is a fake.

Not everyone caught on to the satire. Some took to Twitter to discuss the suicide. Some examples of tweets include:

"Omg!! Creator of 'flappy bird' Dong Nguyen committed suicide and was found dead!!!"

"Did the creator of Flappy Bird really commit suicide?????"

"So, dong Nguyen, the creator of flappy bird committed suicide this morning because people were committing suicide due to his game."

"So apparently the creator of flappy bird commited suicide because of all the hate he was getting...."
