Will Smith is dead. At least that's what the Internet is saying. However the "Fresh Prince" actor didn't die. He's just the victim of an Internet death hoax again. Smith is fine.

Rumors started swirling this week that Smith died while filming a new movie. A report by Global Associated News says "Actor Will Smith died while filming a movie in New Zealand early this morning - January 19, 2014. Preliminary reports from New Zealand Police officials indicate that the actor fell more than 60 feet to his death on the Kauri Cliffs while on-set. Specific details are not yet available.
The accident occurred at approximately 4:30 a.m. (UTC/GMT +12)."

Even though the report seems like it could be real since Smith is an actor, it's not. Global Associated News creates fake news reports from a generator. A note at the bottom of the site reads, " FAKE... THIS STORY IS 100% FAKE! this is an entertainment website, and this is a totally fake article based on zero truth and is a complete work of fiction for entertainment purposes! this story was dynamically generated using a generic 'template' and is not factual. Any reference to specific individuals has been 100% fabricated by web site visitors who have created fake stories by entering a name into a blank 'non-specific' template for the purpose of entertainment."

Another hoax going around claims that he died in surgery. This is also a lie.

Smith is fine. He's currently filming a movie called "Focus" but he did not fall off a cliff while filming it. He's also set to appear on the "Tonight Show" with Jimmy Fallon soon.

Despite the rumor being nothing more than a rumor, some fans who came across the report have taken to Twitter to question and mourn the death of the actor.
Some examples of tweets include:

"I hope Will Smith is not really dead"

"Is Will Smith really dead!?!?"

"I can't believe Will Smith died"

"OMG I CAN"T BELIEVE WILL SMITH PASSED AWAY!! RIP WILL SMITH!!!"
