A new iPad may be released soon and the iPad rumors are already swirling.

According to Current Editorials, a new iPad may be released as soon as October 22nd. The possible announcement could include the reveal of a new iPad mini and possibly the new iPad 5.

The expected date would be a year to the date when the first iPad mini was revealed last year. The iPads would likely be available in time for the Christmas shopping season.

An original rumor said that the new iPads would be announced at an event on October 15, but that has since changed. Apple is known to launch products on a Tuesday and puts them up for pre-order on the following Friday, with the official sale beginning the Friday of the following week.

If this is the case, the new Apple iPads could be on sale to the public on November 1.

Leaked photos have already sparked rumors of what the iPads may look like. The photos include a range of colorful cases and some rumors say that Apple may be working on a 13-inch model.

Apple CEO Tim Cook suggested that new products could be coming after the iPhone 5S reveal in September. "Our teams are hard at work on some amazing new hardware, software and services that we can't wait to introduce this fall and throughout 2014," he said according to the Daily Mail.

The price of current iPads are being cut in certain places which would back up the rumor that new iPads are about to be released.

If a new iPad mini is released, it will likely still be 7.9-inches as a way to stay slightly bigger than the 7-inch Google Nexus 7 and Tesco's new Hudl. However the iPad mini could get slightly heavier and thicker is Apple adds Retina display as it did for iPhone.

However leaked photos suggest that the iPad mini will be even thinner, suggesting that the company might hold on adding Retina display.

Apple site, 9to5Mac suggests that the new iPad 5 could stick with the 7-inch, high-resolution screen seen on older models. The camera may get an upgrade and could move to 8mp or even 12.

Leaked photo show the iPad 5 being thinner than previous models.

Experts believe that that Apple will stick with the same prices that were charged for the old models.

In addition to iPads, Apple could also release a new line of Mac computers including a Macbook Pro and Mac mini at the event, or these products may be released in 2014.
