Sofia Vergara raised some concern among her fans when she cancelled her Oscars appearance, apparently due to an illness.

At first, rumors surfaced that the "Modern Family" star was taken to the hospital because of her illness and was believed to need surgery -- but they turned out to be just that - rumors, according to The Christian Post.

"Watching the Oscars at home so I don't give anyone the flu haha," the actress posted to Twitter on Thursday along with a photo of herself in bed.

Rumors that Vergara's flu was more serious than it was were quelled by a source close to the actress. "Sofia is fine and there is nothing to worry about," an insider told HuffPost Celebrity.

On Friday, though, she looked fine when she walked along West Hollywood with her fiancé Nick Loeb - so she must have fallen ill between Saturday and Sunday's awards ceremony, according to The Christian Post. The two shared a low-key meal at the famous BOA Steakhouse, uk.omg.yahoo.com reported. Dressed in a little black dress with a matching coat and fur-lined dress, she looked happy and healthy at the time.

Vergara is usually a fixture on red carpets, namely the Emmy Awards - but this year's Emmy appearance brought a wardrobe malfunction for Vergara. She accidentally ripped her Zuhair Murad gown during the event-but an emergency team, thankfully, was able to stitch it back together in time for Vergara and the "Modern Family" cast to accept their Emmy Award.

Vergara has been engaged to her businessman fiancé Loeb since July of last year. The two made headlines after arguing at a Miami nightclub on New Year's Eve, which led to their expulsion from the club.

Lately, Vergara has been filming Modern Family scenes, and flew back to Los Angeles after a short trip to New York, uk.omg.yahoo.com reported.
