Similar to Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal is also making an impressive comeback to Tennis this year and his 10th title at the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters had just proven that. His win also gives him a chance to become number one in the Emirates ATP Rankings.

According to a report from ATP World Tour, Nadal is currently 810 Race points behind Federer, who is number one with 4,050 Race points. The calendar-year points race to determine who will be ranked number one at the end of the year started in January.

The report said that though Nadal is still behind, he has a chance to catch up to the Swiss as Federer is planning rest and not play until the French Open. This gives the Spaniard potentially taking home a lot of Race points in the upcoming tournaments before the tour in Paris.

Nadal could 2,500 Race points if he wins in the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell, the Mutua Madrid Open, and the International BNL d'Italia. This would give him some momentum and the No. 1 ATP Rankings by the time Roland Garros commences.

This chance at the number one rankings makes Nadal's comeback to form equally impressive to Federer's own comeback. The Independent reports that Nadal's 10th title in Monte Carlo marks the Spaniard's comeback among the tennis elites, considering he had three runner-up finishes in Melbourne, Mexico, and Miami.

Two of those finals loss came at the hands of Federer, who also dealt with injuries last year. The report said that the impressive thing about Nadal's comeback is that his style of play is more straining to the body.

The Spaniard had paid the price for his physically taxing style of play, suffering injuries in the knee, back, and abductor over the past few seasons. Seeing Nadal getting back into top form after all those major injuries is a big accomplishment in itself as not all players would persevere in the face of adversities.

And with both a healthy Nadal and Federer playing in top form, fans are being treated to their great rivalry once again. Check out the highlights of the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters, where Rafael Nadal won his 10th title.
