Warner Bros. Studios is in full-throttle on the highly anticipated live-action adaptation of hit anime series, "Fullmetal Alchemist." The hype of the fans is through the roof as they are excited to see their beloved series turned into a live-action movie. Earlier, the studio released a teaser trailer for the upcoming film and now, a new theatrical poster was revealed by the studio's Japanese branch.

In the previous trailer, we got to see Elric Brothers as children as they perform the ultimate taboo in alchemy, Human Transmutation. The brothers believed that they can revive their dead mother using alchemy and two suffered greatly by performing the forbidden ritual. The younger brother Alphonse lost his entire body while Edward lost his left leg from just above the knee. At his desperate attempt to save his brother, he sacrifices his left arm to bind Alphonse's soul in a suit of armor.

According to Comic Book, Warner Bros. Japan released the new visual portraying Edward and Alphonse Elric in complete costume and bearing their iconic Flamel Coat of Arms. The series' protagonists are laid over a scenic background of a European village with a familiar building towering over the landscape. According to some fans, the city in the background resembles the city of Reole which is one of the first places visited by the Elric Brothers during their quest to find the Philosopher's Stone in the anime.

The poster also teased some figurative foreboding where the poster is seen as a bright and peaceful sight while the other shows a dark and huge storm brewing as reported by CBR. Aside from the poster showing the two brothers, there is also another visual which portrays Alphonse's in the same background.

This coming July 12, there will be a fan event to celebrate the anniversary of the serialization of the manga version of "Fullmetal Alchemist" written by Hiromu Arakawa. Fans believed that more information regarding the movie will be revealed in the event where all the cast of the movie will attend. The movie is slated to hit the theaters on December 1, 2017 in Japan.
