"Rouge One: A Star Wars Story" has a sequel novel, which is entitled "Inferno Squad," This novel, which is expected to release in July, is actually a tie-in to the video game "Star Wars Battlefront II."

According to a report from IGN, the tie-in of the novel to the video game was revealed during the Star Wars Celebration. The novel is called "Star Wars Battlefront II: Inferno Squad" and will explore how the Imperial squad actually met.

It will also showcase the squad's first mission, and "how they learned to become this well-oiled machine," author Christie Golden said. Iden Versio is the commander of the Inferno Squad, and is also the protagonist of "Star Wars Battlefront II."

The report said that "Inferno Squad" was announced as a sequel to "Rogue One" back in February. The novel will focus on a team of Imperial soldiers that's aiming to "infiltrate and eliminate" Saw Gerrera's remaining Partisans, following what happened in "Rogue One."

The video game will be exploring the story of Versio between the end of "Star Wars: Return of the Jedi" and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," showing that the game will cover a large portion of the "Star Wars" timeline. Fans who are hoping to learn more about the main character in the game, Iden Versio, will get to know more about her when the novel releases on July 25, according to GameRant.

Fans will get to know why she is so loyal to the Empire in the novel. The report adds that the novel could possibly introduce other characters that fans can play in the game.

Though this is just speculation at this point, as it's still possible that Versio is the only playable character that will appear in "Star Wars Battlefront II." Fans will soon find out, as the game is set to be released on November 17 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Check out the trailer for the game in the video below.
