It looks like there will be a big announcement coming for "Pokemon GO." But since Niantic has been quiet about new announcements regarding the game, the reports that are coming out are likely just speculations or even an April Fool's joke.

According to a report from the Daily Star, the "Big News" announcement has the possibility to "drastically shape how millions of people interact with the game around the globe." The announcement about the game is said to come from The Silph Road, which is a website and a Reddit group that tracks Pokemon movements using their own global map.

The report didn't state what the announcement will be, but it said that it likely won't be an April Fool's Day joke, as the announcement would come from the Sub-Reddit moderator Dronpes. The moderator has not been known to make an April Fool's Day joke, so the announcement could be legit.

There have been countless reports coming out regarding the update about "Pokemon GO," with some of them talking about how Niantic is planning to make drastic changes to how Teams function in the game. The report said that the game's map will be altered and show areas that are being dominated by a particular team.

The team's color would be visible in the areas where they have control of the surrounding Gyms. Team Missions are also likely to be tweaked in the gameplay. There's no official announcement from Niantic yet, so the report is just basically speculation at this point. There is one announcement, though, that players should likely take with a grain of salt, and that's the Japan event for the capture of legendary Pokemon Mewtwo.

Blasting News reports that the event is likely a hoax, considering that the Tsuruma Park in Nagoya, Japan is the only credible information about the said event. The park has been known to spawn rare Pokemon such as Venasaur, Gyarados, and Blastoise.

The report said that other details about the event, like involving local enforcement to help set the mood and even using K9 dogs seem unlikely. However, Mewtwo does exist, as Niantic Labs CEO John Hanke claimed that the legendary Pokemon exists and is out there somewhere.

But without any official announcement from the developer of "Pokemon GO," Niantic, it's really hard to tell what's going to be new for the game. Fans would just have to wait and see. Check out more update about "Pokemon GO" in the video below.
