The "Star Wars" fever is far from over as the blockbuster spin-off movie "Rogue One" is soon to arrive on Blu-ray with just a few more days. Photos and other media showing behind the scenes of the film started circulating on the internet which is believed to be included in the home video release. The official Twitter account of "Star Wars Legacy" posted a series of photos showing the secret behind the surprise appearance of Princess Leia at the end of the spin-off movie.

The final minutes of the movie perfectly fit on the start of the "Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope." Many fans are surprised to see young Carrie Fisher play as Princess Leia in "Rogue One." Thanks to the magic of CGI, we got to see the young Leia once again that we all love and cherish.

According to Gamespot, the Norwegian actress named Ingvild Deila was the one behind the computer-generated mask. She wears the iconic hair style of the princess together with motion-capture dots that are sprinkled on her face. After the shooting, the studio Industrial Light & Magic took over to generate the young Fisher's face into Deila's body.

Another character that receives a digital recreation is Grand Moff Tarkin that was originally played by Peter Cushing. This time, Guy Henry took over as Tarkin's motion-capture body. However, this extensive use of CGI to resurrect a dead actor earned a great deal of controversy about the ethics of doing this method.

In other reports, "Rogue One" director, Gareth Edwards mentioned that during the movie's conceptualization, Jyn Erso's mother was supposed to be a Jedi Knight. He initially intended that the empire will be coming for Lyra instead of her scientist father, Galen as reported by Independent. At the end, the idea was revised as Edwards doesn't want Jyn to be a force user.

"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" will soon be available on Digital HD and Blu-ray on April 4, 2017. On the other hand, "Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi" is slated to release on December 15.
