With barely a week since its official release, BioWare has already launched the first multiplayer APEX mission for "Mass Effect: Andromeda." The latest mission, which focuses on the lost scout team, added a new class and some in-game items.

According to a report from Game Spot, the new APEX mission is a story-based mission that is titled "Drack's Missing Scouts." Players would need to go to the map Firebase Paradox and investigate a Kett threat.

Aside from a new map, players will also be receiving new playable characters, new weapons, and new items. GameRant reports that the new class of characters is the Krogan Gladiator class. These creatures are a biotic user that hits hard and has a high health.

The Korgan Gladiator comes with a large Krogan hammer and three biotic abilities. The abilities are Nova, Annihilation, and Pull. Aside from the new class, players will also be receiving the Ruzad Shotgun, which is a weapon that causes heavy damage and slows the enemy down.

The only problem with the new weapon is that it is a slow firing weapon. The Krogan Gladiator and the Ruzad Shotgun can be unlocked by purchasing store packs. Players can use in-game currency or real money to reach the needed amount.

Players who are able to complete the mission would receive additional bonuses. However, the new mission will end on March 27, 9 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time, which gives those who are interested in participating a short amount of time to complete it.

The report said that "Mass Effect: Andromeda's" multiplayer mode has been a frustrating experience for a lot of players. Reports of higher lag and matchmaking issues have made it a pain for players to play in multiplayer mode.

Creating a multiplayer match with friends have been difficult to do. Most players have been forced to create a custom match and hope for other players to join to have enough to build teams.

Hopefully, BioWare addresses these issues to make the multiplayer mode a pleasant experience. Check out the APEX Mission brief for "Mass Effect: Andromeda in the video below.
