"WestWorld" season 2 has been officially confirmed to air soon. One of the main characters in the TV series hints at his role in the upcoming season.

The news of the show's season 2 was confirmed in a statement released by HBO Programming President Casey Bloys. Although news about the upcoming season has been very scarce, in the latest interview with Jimmi Simpson, he has given fans something to speculate with.

In an interview with GQ, Simpson said that fans have not probably seen the last of his younger version as a man in black in the series. He was quoted saying that even they are speculation as well, on what "WestWorld" season 2 might be. He further suggested that the upcoming season is something that will blow the mind of the viewers. In addition, he said that he would not be surprised to see more of his character showing up in the third season.

From his statement, Simpson hinted that there is a big chance that fans will get to see William. However, if that will happen in "Westworld" season 2 is anybody's guess. Aside from that, the actor is all praises for the series' set claiming it was one of the best set he has ever worked on so far.

Meanwhile, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, series creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, revealed that the series will center on more details about the hosts and how it works. In season 2, fans can expect that there will be episodes showing the hosts' power source and their composition. Nolan further added that these hosts are more biological than mechanical and they do not suffer brain death in the same way that humans do.

The upcoming "WestWorld" season 2 will probably release in 2018. Considering the massive production set as well as other things that might affect the rolling of season 2.
