While it is definitely sad that the inevitable has come for "Naruto Shippuden," it is comforting to know that there wil be a sequel spin-off and that we would still get to see a lot of our beloved characters. "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" is set to be released soon after the Fourth Great Ninja War.

According to Droid Report, the finale for "Naruto Shippuden" will be aired on March 23, and "Boruto" will premiere on TV Tokyo on April 5. Noriyuki Abe who served as the "Naruto" anime's director will now be the chief director for the spin-off.

ComicBook reported that the recent issue of "Weekly Shonen Jump" released the first full synopsis of "Boruto" as well as some character designs. The designs featured are for Boruto Uzumaki, Sarada Uchiha, and Denki.

The summary says that while Uzumaki Boruto is on his way to Ninja Academy, he meets Kaminarimon Denki and got himself involved with some delinquents. Boruto noticed that Denki's chakra has become warped, and he is acting strangely.

The "Naruto" sequel would show that Konoha is now a modernized village, and that there's peace in the community, thanks to the 7th Hokage, Naruto. Abe previously said that the sequel would be better for the next generation viewers.

The village is set in modern times, and so ninja's are not really needed anymore, but still, Boruto would go to the Ninja Academy because of the fact that he is the Hokage's son. Will he be able to live up to his name? Fans are expecting to see a lot of interesting new characters in the spin-off.

The "Naruto" sequel is going to have an original story not featured from any manga. Denki will be introduced and he is depicted as a quiet boy who manages to get Boruto's attention. Expect Denki to be a major character in "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations."
