There are rumors coming out that Apple will be launching the "iPad Pro Mini" on April 4 during a special event. However, there were also reports that the 7.9-inch tablet is not part of Apple's latest productions.

According to a report from PC Advisory, they heard Apple will be holding a special iPad launch event on April 4 at its new Apple Park HQ. The new headquarters is also expected to open on that date, which could explain why the two events would be tied together.

The report said that this is just rumor, however, and it contradicts the availability dates of the new iPads on the U.K. It is said that the 12.9-inch "iPad Pro" would be available in the country on Mach 30, 2017.

As for what models of the iPad that Apple will be launching, TechCrunch reports that leaked notes from Ming-Ching Kuo of KGI Securities shows the company is planning to update its 12.9-inch iPad Pro, its 10-inch or 10.5-inch model, and its budget-friendly 9.7-inch model.

The note also showed that the A10x chips, which is also used on the "iPhone 7," will be powering the two larger versions of the iPad. The budget iPad will be using the A9 chips, which is used on the "iPhone 6s." Notably missing from the notes is the 7.9-inch model iPad Mini.

PC Advisor speculates that the reason for Apple not pursuing a 7.9-inch device is due to its upcoming "iPhone 8." The larger version of the latest iPhone device is said to be bigger than the current 5.5-inch iPhone Plus models.

But without any sort of confirmation or announcement from Apple, it's still hard to determine whether a new iPad Mini will indeed come or not. In the meantime, check out more on the latest rumors and details about Apple's iPad Mini in the video below.
