Kingston has just recently announced that they are shipping the highly anticipated mobile storage drive from 2017 International CES. The "DataTraveler Ultimate Generation Terabyte" (DTUGT) is a large capacity flash drive which offers up to 2TB of storage and USB 3.1 Gen 1 or also known as USB 3.0 performance.

According to Digital Trends, Kingston Digital is claiming the "world's largest" title. Kingston Flash business manager Jean Wong said that the release of the "DataTraveler Ultimate GT" means users are now able to push the boundaries of their mobile storage needs while making sure that they have more than enough space for videos, photos, and files.

Kingston Digital said that the 2TB model can store up to 768,000 8MP images, and 5,623 minutes of 720p video recording at 30 frames per second, and up to 70 hours of 4K video storage. Also, because the "DataTraveler Ultimate GT" is a USB flash drive, it can easily fit in the pocket. It sports a durable zinc alloy die-cast metal casing, which is shock-resistance, and it does not come in cheap.

ZDNet reported that the 2TB model is on a list price of $2,273, but it is currently on offer for $1,625. The 1TB model is priced at $942.50. Both the 1TB and 2TB capacities are backed by a 5-year warranty, free technical support and legendary Kingston reliability. Both the 1TB and 2TB variants of Kingston Digital's "Data Traveler Ultimate" measure 2.96 x 1.06 x 0.83 inches that weight at 4.8 ounces.

Wong also added that the company is always striving to create new and better solutions for customers. Meanwhile, the "Data Center 400" SSD is Kingston Digital's newest solid-state drive. The "Data Center 400" SSD is an entry-level enterprise that is engineered mostly for data centers for customers who practices rip-and-replace strategy. The "Data Center 400" will be available in 960GB, 800GB, 480GB, and 400GB where capacities.
