Warner Bros. has finally made an official announcement on the official director for the movie "The Batman." They made it official that Matt Reeves will direct the launching of the next restatement of the popular film. It has been said that the studio has paid Reeves a salary that he could possibly get from doing other movies.

Reeves took over  Ben Affleck as the director of this upcoming film since Affleck chooses to focus on a project which he is going to star, the "Caped Crusader." Aside from the directing the movie, Reeves will also produce for it, Variety reported. Apparently, Reeves has been offered two weeks ago right after Affleck exited in the planning of the film.

As per Reeves, he has loved the Batman story since he was a child. It was for him so iconic and compelling for the audience. For Reeves, he has been deeply honoured and excited at the same time to be chosen as director for the film and to be working with the Warner Bros productions.

Finally, the soon to be director together with the studio can now move forward in the planning of the film as well as to choose with the casting. Further, Chris Terrio will be into the script that will really please Reeves and WB.

According to Deadline, Warner Bros. President Toby Emmerich was also thrilled to have Reeves as the director of the upcoming movie. They have known Reeves to have deep roots when it comes to genre films and even with his evolution to the emotional world-building director. Apparently, Warner Bros. also considered Reeves as the perfect filmmaker for "The Batman" and to be able to guide the Dark Knight into its next journey.

As for now, there has been no release date yet that has been discussed by the production, however, they are now moving forward in planning the helm of the film.
