A popular star of "Mannix" known as Mike Connors recently died of leukemia at the age of 91. He has been known for playing the role of detective Joe on 1960s and 70s show. He died at Tarzana, California as it was confirmed by his son-in-law Mike Condon.

It has been known that the show "Mannix" was able to run for eight long seasons from 1968 to 1975 and was the last series for Desilu Productions. During those times, Connors was able to win a Golden Globe for his exemplary performance being a tough and athletic investigator who portrayed his detective style instead of making things his own way. He was able to drive impressive cars which include Dodge Dart and Chevrolet Camaro respectively, Variety reported.

It was also in 2007 when Connors made his guest appearance on "Two and a Half Men" and some other guest appearances were "Murder, She Wrote", "Love Boat", and "Walker". This handsome jaw-dropping actor also appeared in '60s TV series "Tightrope" and he later played being Colonel Hack Peters in Herman Wouk miniseries.

He was an Armenian descent who was born in Fresno, California. He also played basketball in UCLA and was able to credit it on his first few films as Touch Connors. He has been married to wife Mary Lou, with one amazing daughter Dena and granddaughter Cooper.

Further, Connors continued to find acting work in 1980s and 90s which made him land roles in 1988 "War and Remembrance". He even voiced a character in the ten episodes of the late 90s cartoon series "Hercules", Deadline reported.

He also appeared in a number of telefilms before he was able to covet a third shot in TV series. He was known for being a veteran actor in both films and TV shows while landing an impressive role on a 194 episodes over eight seasons of a certain series "Mannix".
