Steve Irwin's son Bob Irwin is carrying on his father's legacy at the age of eight. It has been six years since Steve Irwin passed away doing what he loved, but his son is following right in his footsteps with a strong enthusiasm for large and dangerous reptiles.

Robert "Bob" Irwin was recently photographed feeding and handling young crocodiles at the Crocoseum at the Australia Zoo in Beerwah, Queensland. Little Bob looks just like his father as he interacts with the animals.

Bob has grown up around the animals and has gotten up close and personal with the crocs since he was an infant in his father's arms. As a baby, his father held him and fed the animals at the same time. The photo caused quite the controversy as people were alarmed by how close Steve Irwin had his child near a deadly crocodile.

Yet eight-year-old Bob seems to have no problems with the animals in recent photos.

Bob also made an appearance on the Ophrah Winfrey show when she hosted her Ophrah's Australian Outback Adventure in her final season. Bob, his mother Terri and his sister Bindi showed off snakes and discussed them during the episode.

Terri Irwin and her family run the Australia Zoo. They live right on the 1,500 acre land that is home to many crocodiles and other creatures.

"We literally live in the middle of the zoo," Bindi, now 14, told Oprah. "It's fantastic. Every day's a new adventure."

Stever Irwin died in September 2006 during one of his adventures. While snorkeling, he was stabbed in the chest by a stingray  in the Great Barrier Reef. Irwin was a wildlife expert who was very enthusiastic about crocodiles, giving him the nickname "The Crocodile Hunter."

His family is committed to continuing his work.
