Square Enix confirms hiring a new game director to finally complete the team that would be redeveloping the popular Play Station game Final Fantasy 7. New game director Kyohei Suzuki will be working hand in hand with original game director Tetsuya Nomura to work hard to finally release the awaited game in the next few years with the first series to hit stores by 2018.

Since it was released for Play Station in 1997, fans have been welcoming to endless rumors of its comeback. According to a report from iTechPost, there are three staff members from the original team that would be returning to Square Enix for the redevelopment. This includes the Tetsuya Nomura, the original character designer turned director, Yoshinori Kitase the original director turned producer and Kazushige Nojima the script writer.

After almost ten years of waiting, this new information regarding the collaboration of game directors can be the confirmation that the development and release of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake is official by the start of the next year. A popular game for Play Station in 1997, the Final Fantasy 7 remake has been in the works as many fans have requested time and time again for its redevelopment to new consoles, especially to the latest Play Station 4.

To add to that and to spice up the excitement, the team has decided to release the game in multiple episodes which would be progressively released starting 2018. They have also confirmed adding new content and even improved character designs to meet modern technology while staying true to the original style of the game.

A report from VG Leaks has explained that since 2017 is the 30th anniversary of the Final Fantasy series, fans are to expect a lot of surprises from Square Enix. These include re-compiled versions of all Final Fantasy sage for Play Station 4 and PS Vita. Fans can also expect the remake of Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age.
