In the celebration of Final Fantasy's 30th anniversary, Square Enix has announced that they will be throwing an event in its honor. On January 31, 2017, Final Fantasy fans may enjoy the festivities at Toho Cinemas Roppongi Hills in Tokyo, Japan starting from 4:30 PM.

Coincidentally, it is also the 20th anniversary of Final Fantasy ViII, which means there's a great chance that they might tie in that with the event. Final Fantasy was first released on 1987.

The event is dubbed as an "Opening Ceremony", and you can expect some appareances of very special guests. It seems that the "Opening Ceremony" event on January 31st will be the first of many more exciting events to come, but let's cross our fingers for that one.

Unfortunately, only 200 Square Enix members can get a chance of attending the event, which they can apply for in the official website of Square Enix before January 9. Those who will be lucky to attend can get free admission.

It has been a great run for the Final Fantasy franchise. Recently, the Final Fantasy XV was released on Xbox One and PS4 and has gotten immense positive reviews. Hopefully, we can get more out of the announcements in their anniversary event, most especially any juicy details about the Final Fantasy VII remake.

Also, another one of the rumors going around is that there will be a "Final Fantasy Anniversary Collection". Apparently the game makers would release a collection featuring Final Fantasy I-IX on a single disc. If this is indeed true, then this is very good news for all the fans.

Congratulations are in order for the whole team of Final Fantasy. The anticipated 30th anniversary in Tokyo would surely be a dream come true for all the attendees, but some Final Fantasy fans that are not from Japan are also hoping they can get a slice of the celebrations. Let's see on Square Enix' upcoming announcements.
