Adam Sandler is dead. At least that's the rumor going around based on a fake report. The comedian/ actor is fine. He's just the victim of another internet death hoax.

On Monday, Global Associated News, which is notorious for starting false celebrity death rumors, wrote "Actor Adam Sandler is reported to have died shortly after a snowboard accident earlier today - September 10, 2012."

The site claims that Sandler died in a snowboarding incident at the Zermatt ski resort in Zermatt, Switzerland.

"Witnesses indicate that Adam Sandler lost control of his snowboard and struck a tree at a high rate of speed," the report reads. "Adam Sandler was air lifted by ski patrol teams to a local hospital, however, it is believed that the actor died instantly from the impact of the crash. The actor was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and drugs and alcohol do not appear to have played any part in his death."

The entire report is false. Sandler is not dead.  He's currently filming the sequel to "Grown Ups" and attending premieres for "Hotel Transylvania,"  for which he voices the character of Dracula.

A Facebook page was also created this week called "R.I.P. Adam Sandler." The page already has over 56,000 "Likes." This page may have also started the rumor. The admin continues to post photos of Sandler with messages of condolence to try to keep the hoax going.

Those on Twitter are starting to believe the rumor as more and more people discuss it and question whether or not it's really true.

Examples of some Tweets include:

"Adam Sandler died?"

"Why are people texting me that Adam sandler passed away today?! I don't like this!!!!!!!!"

"Apparently Adam Sandler died. Please tell me this is a sick internet joke. So help me god if it isn't."

This isn't the first time that the actor was killed off. Global Associated News released the same report about Sandler dying in 2010.

Sandler isn't even the only star to die in a snowboarding accident in Zermatt, Switzerland. Actor Eddie Murphy had the same exact cause of death in yet another death hoax, multiple times. The latest death rumor was last week.

Other celebrities that have been killed off by the internet or social media this week include Tom Kenny, the voice behind SpongeBob Squarepants, legendary actor Morgan Freeman, Comedian Bill Cosby, Alfonso Ribeiro aka Carlton from the Fresh Prince, and Bill Nye the Science Guy. All of these men are just fine.
