Morgan Freeman, the legendary actor with a recognizable voice is dead. At least social media says so. However, Freeman didn't die. He's just the victim of yet another social media death hoax.

Freeman may have played God in Bruce Almighty, but that wasn't enough to keep him from joining the long list of celebrities that have been killed off by social media.

A trend has started on Twitter and Facebook in which someone creates a rumor about a celebrity death. The rumor spreads around social media sites, and soon, everyone is believing or second guessing whether or not it's true.

On Wednesday, a Facebook page called R.I.P Morgan Freeman was created, leading fans to believe that the actor had died. The page has gained over 68,000 "Likes," however the rumor isn't true.

Yet people are still taking to Twitter to question or mourn the death of the famous actor and his name is trending around the web for all the wrong reasons. Freeman may be 75 years old, but he's still alive and well.

An example of some Tweets include:

"Um hhhhwhat!? Morgan freeman died!? #mindblown"

"R.I.P Morgan Freeman! You had one hell of a voice & were one hell of an actor"

"Did Morgan Freeman die or have I been misinformed?"

E! News contacted Freeman's representatives who denied the rumor.

"Morgan is alive and well, and joins the long list of actors who have been victimized by this hoax," a spokesman told E!

Freeman is just one actor who is added to the list of those who have been killed off by Facebook or Twitter. This isn't even the first time that social media has killed Morgan Freeman. He was a Twitter death hoax victim two years ago. Within the past few weeks, Eddie Murphy, Bill Cosby and Bill Nye the Science Guy were all trending around social media as a rumor started about their death. All of these famous men are just fine.

In other Freeman, news, or rather, rumors, the actor recently narrated the erotic novel, "Fifty Shades of Grey," however, this too is a rumor. A video hit the internet which claimed that the voice behind the narration was Freeman, however it was just the work of actor/comedian Josh Robert Thompson, who often impersonates celebrities. The video has since been removed.

While this narration rumor turns out to be false, Freeman's voice will be heard in the narration of upcoming films such as "We The People." He also has several other films that he will star in or lend his voice to within the next year.

For now, Morgan Freeman isn't going anywhere.
