All hope was almost gone for the fans of the blood spectacle "Shingeki no Kyojin" or popularly known by its English title "Attack on Titan" thinking that the anime would no longer release its second season. Good news for those who waited for three years for the comeback of Eren Jaeger and Survey Corps' Captain Levi because the second season is said to premiere in April 2017.

The scene that left fans begging for more was when one of the Titans within the walls was revealed. The Survey Corps learned about the existence of these Titans when the Female Titan was able to damage the surface of Wall Sheena, exposing the huge Titan's face. In a report by Anime News Network, "Attack on Titan" Japanese manga artist Hajime Isayama revealed on his 21st manga volume that the anime adaptation's second season will premiere in April of 2017. On Nov. 2014, it was originally and initially announced release date was within the year 2016.

The last out of the 25 episodes of the anime series was aired last March 19, 2014. Within the three-year long break, as fans could not wait for the arrival of the second season, "Attack on Titan" became a global phenomenon. Numerous manga spinoffs, a two-part live-action film, a video game, and an OVA was released within those years. According to IGN, Masashi Koizuka will take the part as a director for the upcoming season. Meanwhile, Tetsuro Araki, the first season's director will be the chief director.

"Attack on Titan" revolves around the story of Eren Jaeger who joined the military to defend his home which was surrounded by three large walls namely the wall Maria, Rose, and Sheena against the giant man-eating humanoid they refer as the "Titans", after seeing his own mother devoured by one. After many discoveries, Eren then starts to learn the interconnection of his past and the history of the titans.

It will be just a few more months until the return of the most awaited anime series "Attack on Titan". We surely can't wait to see more of the adventures of Eren Jaeger inside and outside the walls of the city.
