"Attack on Titan" Season 2 will be delayed for release again and will reportedly cover the "Clash of the Titans" and "Uprising" arcs.

The sequel was originally slated for release this year but Game N Guide reveals that the second season will get a new release date on January 2017. The delay is due to the busy schedule of the anime's director, Tetsuro Araki, who is currently involved with anime series, "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress." Another reason for the delay is the pace of the manga's development since it needs more source material to further progress.

Reports also reveal that the producers are planning to implement a new plotline which includes two arcs, "Clash of the Titans" and "Uprising," which had more than enough material to produce a 25-episode season.

It was pointed out by an Attack on Titan Wikia fan that the first season of the series had 25 episodes covering the first 34 chapters of the manga. This may manifest that the second season will cover 34-36 chapters and would end around chapter 70 but we couldn't expect the same length with that of season one. It added that the serialization of the "Clash of the Titans" occurred when the first season ended which means that the "Return to Shiganshina" arc will not yet be serialized.

But it appears that fans are more interested about the release date. Others are even disappointed for waiting for a long time for the second season to come out. In a recent interview published in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine, it is revealed that the season is still under production.

Also, "Attack on Titan" is not listed on the future releases featured on Ani Chart for Summer 2016 and even for Fall 2016. This shows that the second season will indeed by released on 2017.

Other spoilers indicate that Levi Ackerman might die on the second season while the real identity of the Colossal Titan and the Armored Titan will also be revealed.
