Marvel fans are in for a treat with the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe update. It has been recently announced that Marvel's "Inhumans" is set to be first released on IMAX before hitting the small screen as a regular TV series on ABC network.

Two episodes of "Inhumans" are set to be screened on IMAX before viewers get the rest of the series on primetime TV featuring eight succeeding episodes. The launching date of the TV show is said to be in 2017. But as early as now, discussions and fan excitement are in a frenzy about the great possibilities of binge-watching the Marvel series.

Digital Spy reports that Greg Foster, IMAX CEO, spoke at an industry conference about the future of Marvel's newest venture and the possibilities of expansion to more projects and shows. Foster even went on to saying that a search for a second series to launch after "Inhumans" is already underway. This will also be the first big franchise to be shot entirely in IMAX.

For readers who are not very familiar with the Inhuman characters, viewers have already been seeing one or two of them in the previous Marvel movies and its ongoing TV series. These Marvel characters have not been as massively famous as other well-known characters, but they have played significant roles in the franchise. True enough, some Inhumans have been with Fantastic Four and the Avengers, as well as, S.H.I.E.L.D. There are a number of interesting stories about the "Inhumans" that are to be made known in the forthcoming series.

Basically, Inhumans are people who are exposed to Terrigen Mists and gains superhuman powers when they reached a certain age. Comic Book reports that the series will focus on the royal family characters and their origins especially their leader Black Bolt, known for a powerful voice and a formidable stance that can chill the bones of any living human.

The TV premiere of the "Inhumans" series will be on September 26, 2017, following the IMAX premiere on September 1, 2017. The programming remains unknown since it's not yet finalized whether ABC will follow the programming block style on the CW with their DC TV series.
