Shelley Duvall, who starred in "The Shining", revealed during her interview with the Dr. Phil that she is suffering and struggling with her mental illness. The actress told Dr. Phil that she is "very sick" and that she "badly needs help". These statements of Duvall gained numerous reactions and sentiments from the horrified audience. Adding, she claims that her co-star, Robin Williams, who passed away in 2014, is well, alive and is "shape- shifting".

With these, Vivian Kubrick, the daughter of "The Shining" director Stanley Kubrick where Duvall and Nicholson starred, initiated a Gofundme page to properly seek a professional help for the actress. In the Gofundme page, they want to raise awareness and indicates "embarrassed finances are not uncommon". Thus, any monetary donation will go further in helping Shelley Duvall get back on track to being well and healthy again. Since the page was created and published, it has already received donations amounting to $15,000. The page is still running up to now and is not far from the $100,000 goal, Vanity Fair reports.

Shelley Duvall is an American-actress, who started her career in a few Robert Altman films during the 1970's such as "Brewster McCloud" (1970), "McCabe and Mrs. Millers" (1971), "Thieves Like Us" (1974), "Nashville" (1975) and "3 Women" (1977), to name a few. Her acting skills were proven when she was nominated twice for Best Actress in BAFTA and Cannes Film Festival, where she won received the Best Actress award. Before she became Olive Oyl in the hit film, "Popeye", she was cast in a supporting role in "Annie Hall", starring Woody Allen in 1977.

Shelley Duvall did not limit herself in acting alone. She also became a singer, producer, writer, and comedian. During her stint as a producer, she got a nomination for an Emmy for her child-friendly programs. Her last performance was seen in "Manna From Heaven" in 2002. However, no reports were made about the brilliant actress since then.

After the "Dr. Phil" episode was released, Kubrick sent her disappointment to the "Dr. Phil Show" through Twitter, saying: "You are putting Shelley Duvall 'on show' while she is suffering from a pitiable state of ill health. Unquestionably, this is purely a form of lurid and exploitative entertainment- it's appallingly cruel," People published.

With these mixed reactions and acceptance from the people, Dr. Phil offered Duvall help and recommended her to a treatment facility in California. What do you think happened to her? Did "The Shining" took its toll on Shelley that's why she has a mental breakdown?
