Before Mariah Carey and his billionaire ex-fiance James Packer broke up, the former couple were in talks for a prenup but nothing was ever signed. "The Australian businessman was so eager to wed the GRAMMY winner by March that he was willing to do almost anything," stated on Entertainment Tonight by their source. "He felt untimely he didn't need a prenup. He was going to marry her without a prenup," told the ET source. "He loved her so much and wanted to making her happy."

The amount the ex-couple were negotiating as part of their proposed prenup was $50 million according to one ET source and another one says, "that figure never existed." The diva feels she is owed $50 million and believes that was discussed to her during the negotiations. Despite never tying the knot, according to the ET source "she wants an inconvenience fee."

Packer relocated Carey and her kids and moved her across the country. He also made promises to her that were not fulfilled according to the ET article. She wants to keep her $10 million engagement ring and on top of that, she wants the billionaire to buy her a home in Calabasas "in addition to giving her cash." "This whole $50 million thing and the other noise is a distraction to try and rationalize what she is asking for," countered by another ET source "in terms of asking for an inconvenience fee."

According to ET, the ex-couple were eager to keep their Bora Bora wedding despite the possibility that their marriage would not be legal. During that time, Carey had to finalize her divorce from TV host Nick Cannon, but that did not stop them(Carey and Packer) from planning their lavish wedding. Carey had a Valentino Couture wedding dress made for her and a mini version for daughter, Monroe. She was festive and she wanted multiple weddings and ceremonies with James.

It is also confirmed by ET's source that the diva abstained from having sex with her then fiance' before getting married. "Mariah wanted to wait until she was married." On the other hand, she feels that he owed her an apology because he broke up with her publicly. The singer also feels that he used her to increase his profile in America and globally. Carey is "recovering well" since the split said the source. According to ET, they have reached out to a publicist for Packer to air his side. Watch the video below to get other details about the controversial million dollar "inconvenience fee"
