Aside from packing more stuffs when you travel with kids, you have to even pay more attention on how your kids will behave and how you condition their bodies for a long trip on a plane, train or car. Apparently, it will be challenging for kids to just sit or nap while on a long trip. But you can do something to help them behave.

1. Bring toys. The first thing that you will think of is to bring their favorite toys during the trip. Give your kids a backpack where they can carry their toys. But limit the number. Let them bring one or two toys only that is not so bulky and not so heavy, WikiHow suggested.

2. Bring books. Not all kids love books but remember that there are different kinds of books that your kids can use. It could either be a coloring book, a sticker book and other activity books. This way, they will not just be entertained but they will also learn something. It is also a good idea to buy a new book so that they will be excited about it.

3. Bring electronic games and other devices. For sure your kids love to play games on their devices. Let them do that during the trip especially when you can sense that they are starting to get bored or grumpy. You can also let them watch movies as well through their tablets or laptop.

4. Let them choose a seat. If you are riding an airplane or a train, let them choose who to sit with especially if you are traveling with other friends or family members. This way, they will have time to chitchat and will surely enjoy the trip.

5. Bring snacks. According to Safe Bee, "hunger and thirst can fuel dramatic mood swings and outbursts." Hence you have to be ready with the food and drinks. Kids love to eat and when they are snacking, they feel entertained and it will keep them busy. Pack their favorite food but try the healthier option like celery pieces, nuts, gummy bears, carrot sticks and others.

Apart from those mentioned, make sure that you give them use the bathroom from time to time and you also need to get ready with a handy kit that has everything your kids might need like a wet tissue, medicines and others. Also, talk to your kids before the trip about how they should behave and just remind them about it once they start misbehaving.
