Actress Olivia Wilde and actor Jason Sudeikis got into a bit of trouble on a recent romantic vacation to Jamaica.

The celebrity couple was recently enjoying some time in the island nation of Jamaica on their first vacation together since they started dating six months ago.

The Tron: Legacy star revealed on Late Night with David Letterman, that her trip with her boyfriend, Horrible Bosses comedian, Sudeikis, didn't go so smoothly.

The 28-year-old Wilde and 36-year old Sudeikis wanted to get in touch with their adventurous sides instead of lazing away on the beaches of Jamaica. The pair decided to go kayaking. Wilde told Letterman that Sudeikis had no problems getting in his kayak, but she got hit in the knees by the single-person boat.

The couple was warned of the rough water conditions as it was a stormy and windy day, but the two wanted to prove their athleticism. The two continued to attempt kayaking despite the warning.

"It was about a mile and a half -- we had to cross a bay. We get to the middle, disaster strikes, it's too windy, the waves are too big and it's mayhem," Wilde said.

Wilde was pushing hard and sped past her boyfriend. When conditions got too wild for Wilde, she turned back, only to find that Sudeikis was gone. His kayak had turned upside down and she realized that she would soon be next to flip over.

Sudeikis resurfaced and the two were soon rescued by nearby fisherman who had been watching the couple. The couple was brought aboard the fishing boat and taken back to shore.

After the mishap, the lovers tried to redeem themselves and continue on with their vacation, but things continued to go wrong. The two swam out to a floaty island to relax. On their way back, Wilde was attacked by a swarm of jelly fish.

"So then I crawled out and I was covered in welts. And Jason of course is still stuck on the floaty island looking at me like, 'I can't get in there," said Wilde.

Wilde got the attention of the same rescue team that had saved them in the kayak incident earlier. They then had to take a kayak out to the island and rescue Sudeikis so he could avoid getting stung by the jellyfish.

The couple is now safely back in the U.S.
