Madeleine McCann is not yet found after she went missing in Praia da Luz on May 2007.

Years after the child's mysterious disappearance, authorities in Portugal are again calling Robert Murat to serve as a witness to the case. Murat was first considered as a suspect or an arguido, which also means as a person of interest. It can be recalled that he was questioned way back in 2007 when Madeleine McCann, who was just three at that time, was nowhere to be found.

Despite of the suspicions, Murat has maintained his statement declaring his innocence. Years after being under police questioning, Murat, who will be again subjected for another series of questions still keeps his word. In a recent statement regarding the upcoming face off with the authorities, he said that he is innocent and that he has no problems in talking with the cops.

"My conscience is clear and I have no problem speaking to police again" Murat said.

The 41 year-old IT specialist also added that the police is welcome to ask him any questions. While expressing his openness to be under questioning by authorities, Murat said that he is not yet contacted by investigators regarding the case of Madeleine McCann, who is still not found until today. His wife was also one of those 11 people that were asked about the case.

"If they want to ask the questions they're welcome to" he said.

The disappearance of the three year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. McCann is still a big mystery. It can be recalled that in 2007, the said family were staying in an apartment in Algarve resort of Praia da Luz when the child was nowhere to be found. Madeleine McCann's parents were at a nearby restaurant during the time of the child's sudden disappearance.
