Yusuf Islam Wild World - Musician Cat Stevens or better known as Yusuf Islam was scheduled late this year for a comeback concert in New York City. However, the tours set in the Big Apple have been cancelled. Reports claim ticket sales were to blame.

The much anticipated Yusuf Islam Wild World tour was slated this December in New York City. However, the NYC tour by the Cat Stevens musician has been cancelled due to ticket sales. The sales aren't a problem but the extortionate tickets being sold in countless websites are. Yusuf Islam Wild World had long been a "supporter of paperless tickets" to avoid ticket touts or scalpers.

"Unfortunately New York has a state law that requires all tickets sold for shows in New York City to be paper, enabling them to be bought and sold at inflated prices. I'm sorry about not being able to now play in New York City but hope to find an opportunity that aligns with my support of this issue in the near future, God willing," stated Yusuf on his official Facebook page.

Cat Stevens, aged 66, has instead moved his New York tour to Philadelphia instead. Yusuf Islam Wild World will be promoting "Tell 'Em I'm Gone," which is his new album. Yusuf Islam Wild World will be playing in Philadelphia by December 4. Other cities included in Cat Stevens' tour include San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston, Toronto and Chicago.

Islam's best hits include "Wild World," Morning Has Broken" and "Moonshadow." Aside from tours in the United States, Cat Stevens is set to tour in the United Kingdom at the Eventim Hammersmith Apollo by November. "Tell 'Em I'm Gone" is Cat Steven's first release under Sony Music Legacy Recordings. Guest appearances by Charlie Musselwhite, Bonnie Billy, Matt Sweeney and Richard Thompson will be part of the album.
