July 4th 2014 is just around the corner and it isn't too late to book an Independence Day getaway. It isn't to late for a deal either. Travelocity compiled booking data to determine the most popular US and world destinations for the 4th of July holiday as well as cities where the average hotel rate is below $150.

Even though airfare and domestic hotel rates are on the rise, international travelers will pay less to book a hotel as average rates have decreased nearly three percent. Travelocity also found that airfare to eight out of the top 10 most popular July 4th destinations is less expensive that the national average of $402 and hotel rates under $150 aren't too hard to find.

"Travelers looking for a good travel deal should consider checking out Orlando where airfare prices are under the national average and hotel rates have dropped more than 15% year-over-year," said Travelocity Senior Editor, Courtney Scott. "Las Vegas is another great value this July 4th, with average nightly hotel rates of only $105."
