Noah movie hits theatres with parental guidance notice. The film contains some thrilling content that isn't apt for kids watching without their parents. PG-13 stands for a creation which contains violent, disturbing images and brief suggestive content. Filmmaker Darren Aronofsky's take on the Old Testament epic is what you would expect from the maker of Black Swan and Requiem for a Dream. The new Noah movie is equally outstanding and visually remarkable in its execution.

What makes it different from the story in the bible is it veers from the conventional story. Surprisingly though, the film takes its viewers into the heart of the story - the human tendency to seek for affirmation in his or her faith. As a big budget film, this was unexpected for the new Noah movie.

Title character Noah is played by none other than Russell Crowe. As told in the bible, Noah receives a message from God that an immense flood is about to come, and the intense tide will purge the earth of human sinners. Noah is to build an ark that must be able to carry one of each animal on earth.

What makes the story different and needing some guidance from parents with the kids is when Noah fights a descendant of Cain, in the movie played by Ray Winstone, and his band of marauders. Of course, Noah fights with some help from fallen angels who are disguised as enormous rock monsters. Adding to the tad scary fight is the actual flood, which is the main event in the Noah movie, along with the story. The way the flood was portrayed is enough to make children, even adults terrified and disturbed.

Darren Aronofsky also included a disturbing suggestion of incest and infanticide in the Noah movie. It may be best to just leave the film for the eyes of teens and older and spare the children potential bad dreams.

Noah movie is expected to generate around $40 million in ticket sales in the U.S. and Canada through Sunday. Paramount Pictures meanwhile has predicted a softer gross of $30 million to $33 million.
