Though Dublin is the usual place which comes to mind when St. Patrick's Day festivities are mentioned, there is another place for celebrating St. Patrick's Day.

Another option is heading down to Savannah to celebrate with 300,000 other revelers in the city. Parties on River Street start every March 14th, but St. Patrick's Day is celebrated on the 17th. If your favourite color is green, then you're going to love seeing the city's famous fountains dyed green during this summer festival.

Top 2: Bay to Breakers, San Francisco

Amongst the things San Francisco is famous for include the Pride Paradesourdough bread, and the Bay to Breakers. Many may not be familiar with this revelry set for the 18th of May, but this is considered San Francisco's biggest party, and surprisingly, it has been around since 1912.

Attendees will be required to run about 7 miles. Though running this far in this summer festival may not sound so enticing, the Bay to Breakers' 'costumed participants party ' before, during, and after the race are certainly a sight to behold.
