"Criminal Minds" season 12 is about to end for its final season and there will be stars who are expected to reprise their roles. Shemar Moore, who is one of the original casts of the series is expected to make a return on the finale and will reprise his role as Derek Morgan.

The finale episode will air on Wednesday of May 10. The episode is expected to feature Moore who will bring the BAU a certain lead over a case against the serial killer and with the escape of the convicted Mr. Scratch.

Moreover, aside from making a comeback on "Criminal Minds," Moore is also working on a CBS series which is a pilot for a "SWAT" reboot. In the series, he is connected to a star and will also serve as a producer. He plays the role of a locally born SWAT lieutenant who will be torn between loyalty to the streets and his duty with his fellow officers, Variety reported.

As he returns to "Criminal Minds" season 12 finale, Moore will definitely please his fans who were shocked when he left the series during the last season. It can be recalled that certain tension got high on season 11 when Moore and Gibson left the set of the series.

Season 11 was shaken up with the departure of Thomas Gibson after he was fired due to a series of contentious events together with alleged physical altercation. Hence, the return of Moore will definitely bring fans to life.

Further, the series will still cast the original stars like Joe Mantegna, Paget Brewster, Matthew Gray Gubler, A.J. Cook, Asiha Tyler, Kirsten Vangsness, Adam Rodriguez, and Damon Gupton. The series executive producers will still be Mark Gordon, Erica Messer, and Breen Frazier, Entertainment Insider by AOL reported.
