"Buffy the Vampire Slayer" is a popular American supernatural, drama, fantasy, action, horror TV series and was created by Joss Whedon. The series stars with famed American actress Sarah Michelle Gellar as Buffy Summers. The actress gained popularity in "I Know What You Did Last Summer" and "Scream 2."

According to Comicbook, just recently the 20th anniversary of the first episode of the series entitled "Welcome to the Hellmouth,"  was just celebrated. The said episode is a pilot episode of the show, which is about one girl who is solely dedicated in cleaning the world from the dark forces. Since the commemoration has broken out, the show's fans worldwide were so appalled.

In addition, some of the fans have shared their thoughts regarding how important "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" has been part of their life. Gellar herself made a reaction to the said event through a Facebook post, which states her gratitude for Whedon and her show's co-stars including David Boreanaz, James Marsters, Michelle Trachtenberg, and Alysson Hannigan. Gellar has also given her gratitude to the show's fans before she has signed off and left a memorable quote.

Gellar stated in her quote that 20 years ago, she had the great privilege to cast as Buffy for the viewers for the first time. She also stated that it was a long journey and she has faced a lot of challenges in getting there. Gellar added that the show has aired on an unpopular network, but despite that, the show was able to put a lasting impact to their fans.

As per The Spectator, they reported that if you didn't watch Whedon's popular TV series between 1997 and 2003, Whedon's original character portal Buffy Summers is simply a cheerleader type who began to play it cool after she has found out that she is the Chosen one. She possesses the power to repel supernatural beings such as vampires and demons.

After she has slain a vampire, Buffy got expelled in her old high school and settled in Sunnydale. Sunnydale is also known as Hellmouth, which has more surrounding evil forces within California, and this is when Buffy began to face struggles she has never faced before. In case you haven't seen the series yet, it is highly recommended that you check it out yourself. Watch the video below for "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" Season 1 trailer and subscribe for more updates!
