Versatile actress and activist Shailene Woodley looked so beautiful and calm in her mugshot when she was arrested for joining the Standing Rock protest. She was at the Dakota Access Pipeline project protest site when she was arrested.

Along with 27 activists, she was arrested and detained at the police headquarters as reported by BBC. She shared that when she was taken a mugshot, she was not aware that the image will form part of the police records for criminals and offenders. She regretted the mugshot but not her participation in the protest.

She was grateful that during her arrest, she was with her mother who hastily paid the fine of $500 so she can go, otherwise, she could have been detained for long.

The "Divergent" actress has been a stern protester of the DAPL project. The Native Americans and concerned citizen join the protest to preserve the heritage site of the Natives and to stop the possible contamination of the water supply in the area. The pipe might leak in the long run and the fuel that passes through those pipes might contaminate their clean water.

She pleaded not guilty for the offense accused - rioting and criminal trespassing. Trial has begun and but quite delayed due to some postponements.

"I wish I'd known that this was going to be as public as it was. I would have made, like, a face," Shailene Woodley revealed when interviewed at the Stephen Colbert "Late Night Show."

She is currently working along with the DAPL protest to divest from the big banks that have invested in the project as per Page Six. She revealed that she and her fellow activists are working on a website called howtodivest.org.

Shailene Woodley has gone a long way for the fight and there is no stopping her. Most of her free time is spent in the protest lines.
