"Fear the Walking Dead" Season 3 has now an official release date but a report speculates that the mini-series could potentially be released sometime this April. The first season of "Fear the Walking Dead" in August which led to "The Walking Dead" season 6. Season 2 premiered on April 2, 2016 due to the season being extended.

The report from Den of Geek, the main show usually broadcasts its season finale in either March or April. If "The Walking Dead" keeps with its current schedule, then an April 2017 release date for "Fear the Walking Dead" could be a possibility.

All of the regular cast members of the show are expected to return for the new season. A report from Cinema Blend also implies that Emma Caulfield, an alum of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", will be joining the series in a mystery role. It is not yet known whether she'll only be appearing as a guest star or have a recurring role in the series.

Emma Caulfield is one of Hollywood's most experienced actresses and has portrayed various characters in multiple show genres. Fans can expect her to fit in pretty well with the rest of the cast regardless of the type of role she is given. Some viewers might remember her as the evil Blind Witch who appeared in a few episodes of "Once Upon a Time." She also recently appeared in "Supergirl" playing the role of FBI agent Cameron Chase. Moreover, Emma has also dabbled in voice acting as she leant her voice to the animated series "Fantasy Hospital."

While Caulfield's appearance in the series has already been confirmed by AMC themselves, the duration of her stint on the show is not yet known, according to TVLine. "Fear the Walking Dead" Season 3 is slated to have 16 episodes and will premiere sometime in 2017.
