The 2016 Miss Universe winner Iris Mittenaere has bagged the most coveted crown. The French contestant stood out among the bevy of beauties that competed during the pageant held in the Philippines last January 30.

She was able to have an edge against Miss Haiti who was the leading candidate. Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach bequeathed the crown to the 24-year-old beauty.

Hollywood Life reported that Miss France is not in the same boat with Miss Kenya who is a Donald Trump supporter. Miss Kenya said during the Q&A that the new U.S. president has unified America.

Miss France impressed the judges when she elaborated on the Muslim ban and the closing of borders for immigrants which is Trump's agenda.

She loves to travel and has been to United Arab Emirates, Belgium, China, Italy, Paris, and Dubai. She is a model, no wonder she has that amazing body. But she revealed that she eats a lot, unlike most models. She loves ice cream, pizza, and sushi. She plays tennis and swims to maintain her well-trimmed body.

The stunning beauty brought home great honor to her country for winning the 2016 Miss Universe crown. She is the second candidate from France to win the prestigious contest. Her predecessor was Christiane Martel who won the crown in 1953. She is the reigning Miss France 2016.

She ended the 63 years dream of the French people to bring home the Miss Universe crown again. She was the third from her country to land on the top 5 of the pageant. The first was Christiane Martel in 1953, Flora Coquerel in 2015 and she made it this year.

She was born to two educators. Her father was a school teacher and her mother is a geography and history teacher. Mittenaere is passionate about cooking. According to Mirror, she had a cooking session with the famous Michelin chef Frédéric Anton which she feels is an honor. She graduated with a degree in Science but is currently studying to become a dental surgeon. 2016 Miss Universe Iris Mittenaere is one interesting persona.
