Do you want to experience a once in a lifetime extreme adventure race? Go to Dubai and take part of its obstacle challenge - Sandstorm - that takes you to four separate terrains defying your mental and physical strength on Feb. 10 at the Al Marmoum Conservation Reserve.

UAE's event will test you to your limit and poses the question, "Can you resist the call of the Sandstorm?" Participants are expected to race against rocky, muddy, wet and sandy landscapes with over 30 obstacles in its 5k challenge and more than 40 encounters in the 10k race.

Though the challenges will be tough, one can still participate in the obstacle course without having any extreme fitness background. They would require you to be in good shape and must love basking in the great outdoors for you to appreciate the fun.

As reported by the Emirates, Vice Chairman and Managing Director Dubai Holding Ahmad bin Byat said, "We are very encouraged to see growing interest and enthusiasm for Sandstorm, and we look forward to welcoming participants from across the UAE and beyond to participate."

"Sandstorm demonstrates Dubai Holding's commitment to preserving the UAE's natural environment while encouraging sustainability by promoting eco-awareness with minimal environmental impact." The participants would indeed encounter exotic animals within the Dubai desert like Arabian Oryx and the Sand Gazelle.

And what about the spectators - your family and friends who would rather cheer for you from the back? No worries, according to the organizers they have lots of "activities and refreshments to keep spectators of all ages entertained" like paint booths, live race with drone footages, food and somewhere you can sit back and relax.

One can tag their family, friends or co-workers to join as Sandstorm is open to individuals, corporate teams and Emiratis from all over the world. People can register at their site, www.sandstormdxb.ae, for Dh350, or roughly $95.
