While fans of "Rick and Morty" Season 3 are still waiting for the show's release date, many speculations about it emerge around the web. Fans had been creating theories about the Adult Swim series which include the show's possible crossover with "Gravity Falls."

Creators of the show, Justin Roiland and Alex Hirsch admitted dropping hidden clues in each other's show to express their friendship and appreciation. Both worked together in Disney earlier in thier career before they ventured into creating the hit animations.

One proof that the two shows will be having a crossover is how Ford claims to have travelled to different dimensions in "Gravity Falls." He also has a die with an infinity side which, according to Ford, can visit over 9,000 dimensions. Ford is noted to travel to various dimensions through the universe portal and this could be made possible because of the help of genius scientist, Rick Sanchez.

According to Movie Pilot, there are three possibilities about their connection. Rick and Ford are friends and Rick let Ford borrow his portal gun, they are enemies and Ford stole Rick's gun or Ford owns a portal gun made with the same chemicals of Rick's gun.

Aside from that, in the "Society of the Blind Eye" episode of "Gravity Falls," Grunkle Stan loses his notepad, pen and mug when he went into the universe portal. These items were seen in the "Rick and Morty" episode "Close Encounter of the Rick Kind." There is also a wanted poster of Ford in "Gravity Falls: Journal 3" which includes a coded message that translates to "Rick was here."

These easter eggs are considered by fans as a sign that a crossover of both shows is possible. But creators of the said shows did not comment on this fan theory.

As for the "Rick and Morty" Season 3 premiere, Justin Roiland assured fans that despite the delay, the show will be back on the small screen soon. Roiland assures fans and viewers that it will be worth the wait since the upcoming episodes will feature exciting storylines.

"We're deep into the season... But I do really feel like, the episodes we've got in the hopper are some of the best we've ever done, I think," he said in an interview with Collider. What do you think of the possible "Rick and Morty" and "Gravity Falls" crossover?
